Gorgeous! Thanks for sharing that. It looks like perfect weather for a bike ride, too. So peaceful.

I moved to Japan originally in 2004 to teach, planning to stay for just one year, met my future wife, went back to America in 2005 but kept visiting Japan until getting married in 2012 and moving to Japan permanently.

Any questions you've got, feel free to ask anytime. The area I live in is similar to the Pacific Northwest in America. Cold, rugged coasts, high alpine mountains, super snowy winters. I live about 20 minutes from a bay and 45 minutes from the Alps, in a medium sized city, but can be in the countryside or foothill mountains within 5 minutes by car, where there are castle ruins, shrines, waterfalls, and a burial mound from the year 800. I love it here!

Great pictures and insights into your lives. I've been too busy to chime in, but the images and your responses are very endearing.

I miss Legerdemancy. I know he was an avid photographer; I never got to see his work before he decided to leave.

Congrats on graduating from your own English lessons, Estoria Smile I visited Japan for a few days in 2007 and I'd love to go back!

Here's one of me from a few days ago, doing what I usually do in my spare time now the weather is nicer - wandering around the city and seeing what I find (this time I was with a friend, hence the photo). We also visited the Bierpinsel, which is a bar on a stalk that David Bowie used to frequent in the 70s, and the Institute for Hygiene and Microbiology, a famous Brutalist landmark:

I miss Legerdee too. Please come back to us and bring your happy little cloud too.

Here are some pictures from my area of the world.

Wow.. absolutely love these two new contributions.

To quote another song "..these are a few of my favourite things!"

These are great! It's so cool to get to see what's going on around the world with the different members here. Cool David Bowie history, too!

Last weekend my wife and I went to an outdoor coffee festival and then to an ice age exhibit at a local museum.

Post apocalyptic, nice!

RE: The Pictures Thread - Estória - 04-01-2026

Where is that? Very cool!

Both were taken in the (currently) pre-apocalyptic city of Deventer!
