Oops. I accidentally marked forums as "read" by clicking on the bright "moon" circle to the left in the board overview. Didn't expect this to happen and don't even know why I clicked on it in the first place.
I think it is a nice feature (can be useful) and good to know, so I thought I just share it here, in case anyone else didn't know about this either.

I noticed that «View New Posts» does not display the small arrow which takes you to the first unread comments in that thread.
It would be great if it did.
Is this an easy fix, or hard like that infamous rubber duck puzzle from The Longest Journey?
