Finished Dispatch - 7.2 hours
Made by a bunch of Ex-Telltale employees it's no surprise it shares a lot in common with Telltale games. Lots of dialogue choices that will be remembered and alters the story in small or big ways.
You are a SuperHero whose Mechsuit is out of action so gets recruited to a Hero Dispatch company.
This makes up most of the gameplay. You are assigned a group of ex villians to control, you sit on a computer with a map of the city crimes appear and you assign one or more of the heroes to help. You need to match the heroes skills with the requirements of the crime.
You need to balance them when multiple crimes appear as you cant use Heroes when they are on other crimes, resting or injured.
There is also hacking minigames that can help when they are in trouble.
That takes up most of the gameplay. The rest of it around the Dispatching is cut scenes with dialogue choices and the occasional QTE's

While not totally a traditional Adventure game I had an absolute blast with the game. The Art style and voice work is superb (even has Aaron Paul in the lead role. I really enjoyed the story although the humour was up my alley I could see the nudity and adult humour being off putting to some. (lots of sex and dick jokes)

One of my favourite games of the year

I am playing the rest of the Blackwell games after having started with the one from the current Community playthrough. I am really enyoing them all so far.

Gabriel Knight 2

But I don't know if that was a good idea. The game is supposed to be difficult, you can die, and the Steam,-Version only available in English. Everything I don't like.
The first few minutes transport Germany back to 18th-century Bavaria. Somehow, no one seems to realize that Germany is not just Bavaria and that we have evolved over the last 200 years.

I've continued with the Syberia series and just finished the second game. Since it immediately continues on from where the first game ended it feels less like a sequel and more like the second part of the story that began in the first game. It also retains the same atmosphere and style too.

While both games play very similar to each other, I did notice some small improvements to the user interface, such as directional arrows being included when hovering location change hotspots (making it less likely to miss an entrance or travel direction) and used dialogue options disappearing instead of becoming greyed out (making it easier to make sure you've heard everything you can hear).

And canceled. I'm on a roll right now when it comes to games that I lose interest in after an hour.

I've finished Dispatch, Keeper, Drawn Down, Pants Quest and Simon origins recently.

Dispatch : really good characters/dialogues/musics I'm obsessed with this game halp me-

Keeper : A little gem proposing an experience with GORGEOUS art. if you like Journey, Abzû, you'll like this game

Drawn Down : Very short game with some lackluster puzzles (sad about the drawing mechanic which is barely utilized), but the dialogues are naturals sounding, it is fully voice acted, the pixel art is clean and the story, even if not the greatest, get you involved at least. Overall a good little game.

Pants Quest : A simulation of a Monday where everything goes wrong. I can't help but laugh while taking pity on the poor guy. Very short, but very entertaining !

Simon the Sorcerer Origins : Because I still haven't played the originals (coming soon. One day. Eventually.) I've gone into it with no expectations and found it pretty good. The artstyle is a little flat (even if I like the colors) and the animation a little stiff. I like Simon even if he's a brat and the puzzle are actually pretty challenging on some parts. On the downside, rooms being BEEG sometimes with not a lot to see. Why can't I speak to almost no one at the academy or to people in town ? Lemme look at things or talk to people Sad. Going back and forth is little annoying too but the fast travel system help with that.

As of now, I'm playing Foolish Mortals and it's a treat ! I love the reactions of Murphy when I try to feed anyone and anything with my entire inventory. A lot of different dialogues ! Still at Act 1 so no spoiler Big Grin

I just finished "randals tuesday". Its a prequel of sorts to the polarizing randals monday, a whacky game full of layered inventory puzzles and a deep array of culture references in a large story about a time loop. I found the original endearing and well crafted, though clearly not for everyone. Tuesday has glimmers of what made the original good, but was pretty miserable overall. The meandering story was boring for the most part and does not pay off very well with all its build up. This is a story about "college hijinks" and 90% of it has no supernatural intrigue of the original. I appreciated some of the puzzle chains, but they get increasingly menial, retreading over large areas to pick up a thing you saw at the beginning of the game but couldnt grab until now. I found myself wanting fast travel. Its a kickstarted labor of love.. but the fact a bunch of the parts were voiced by backers is extremely noticable. Some of the audio quality is very poorly recorded and it breaks the setting. I respect them for crossing the finishing line with this and i know there were many challenges. But this was a rough play.

Iv now moved on to the drifter which iv been overdue to play. And oh man is it intense and immersive so far.

I finished the last of the Blackwell series yesternight. Overall nice games, I cannot really say which one I liked most, but it had a worthy conclusion/ending.
