I always thought this was an underrated "Myst" clone. The atmosphere, music, story and most of the puzzles are great

No way! That really was a shot in the dark. I played that game for only a couple of hours...got stuck on a sliding puzzle and gave up, I think!

You should give it another try. It kind of falls apart at the end with a really annoying maze and steam pipe finale, but up to that point it's a lot of fun. If I remember correctly, the slider puzzle gave you the option to be solved automatically if you walked away and came back to it a few times.
