The Dig. But it’s close.

These are both great, for distinctly different reasons. Completely agree with Eirik on the MI box art composition, so it gets my vote!

The Dig

It's close, but I gotta go with MI.

The Dig is intriguing and mysterious, and definitely makes me want to uncover the mystery, but MI is vibrant and adventurous and so well designed.

Secret of Monkey Island!

Tough - but I think it's gonna have to be SoMI!

The first time I saw the MI cover art on a magazine my brain exploded. It made me realize that I wanted to be an artist someday.
That's a +1 for The Secret of Monkey Island.

I don't know. To my eyes the issue with The Dig is that it's such a crap title and that word dominates the box. But I can't in all honesty say that I prefer the chaotic Monkey Island artwork.

Oh no, I missed the contest between Loom and Labyrinth!

So ... in the current one, I vote for Monkey Island.

While I like the composition and quality of the "The Dig" cover, Monkey Island is something you can look at for a longer time when you are bored, and still find new details. Looking at it I am imagining how it was made, and how much time it took to paint it.

Ever noticed the weird orb at the top right corner of the image? What is this? The back of a rock skull on top of the mountain? I would expected the moon to shine there, like in the other covers/images. I noticed it only now while comparing both of these covers.

MI wins 12-8! I really thought it had no chance against The Dig.
