I was disappointed with the announcements but was thrilled to see the Old Republic announcement. What is everyone’s impressions with the overall 2025 event?

I think it ended on the wrong game. The last game should be your biggest announcement and it was a generic coop shooter.

Otherwise it was decent.

New Jonathan Blow game, new Frictional Games Soma followup

Really enjoyed New FOTOR, New Divinity game from Larian, 2 new Tomb Raider games and the Control sequel.

But my fav announcements were Lego Batman and Bradley the Badger both of which looked great

An adventure game is nothing more than a good story set with engaging puzzles that fit seamlessly in with the story and the characters, and looks and sounds beautiful.

I am not sure if it has been announced on the game awards, haven't watched them, but I found this one under the steam game awards game list in "just announced", and instantly fell in love with this one!

It was good to see Order of the Sinking Star finally get announced. It's almost a bit strange to see it presented as a real game now instead of it just being that unnamed sokoban game Jonathan Blow often works on in his dev streams.

The awards themselves never interest me and I don't put much stock in them, but the reveals are always interesting. There was some fun stuff this year amongst the usual slop. Fate of the Old Republic, Ontos, Divinity and the Tomb Raider games definitely caught my interest.
