Another difficult choice but as much as I like the Grim Fandango cover art I think the arrangement on Monkey Island 2 is the most harmonious.

As someone already said, the character design alone makes up for Grim Fandango being a memorable cover.

So, Grim Fandango has the same issue I dislike that Full Throttle has, where it's essentially just cutting out 3D renders and pasting them on top of other pics, but I will say it's at least better. But to me, it's really not a far step beyond Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade art wise.

Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge on the other hand, man! That's a straight up masterpiece! So my vote goes to MI2!

Monkey Island 2's art is something I'd have framed on my wall. One of my all-time favourites. It easily gets my vote!

Grim Fan.

One of the things I don't like about the Monkey Island 2 cover is that it doesn't fit the mood of the game at all. The game is relentlessly light hearted and stoopid, but this cover makes it seem like Requiem for a Dream. The GF cover is perfectly fitting for the mood of the game and is clear and characterful to boot.

Although I'd much rather have Monkey's art on my wall.
